The diagrams illustrate how the Colwick Arts Centre changed between 2005 and today.
Overall, the layout of Colwick Arts Center has been significantly changed. In addition, some new facilities were built to cater for recreational needs.
In 2005, the Colwick Arts Center was smaller, with only a few facilities. On the west side, a meeting room was placed between the snack bar and the toilet. There were two galleries to cater for the increase in the visitors of the centre. In the middle, the concert hall and the cinema shared the building, which was next to the information desk. There was a huge wasteland on the rear of the map.
Recently, the Arts Center also saw a number of changes. The snack bar is converted into the meeting rooms in the north-west corner. Two galleries are merged into a larger one and moved to the opposite side. The cafe is added next to the gallery, while the toilet is relocated to the east side. The concert hall and the cinema are separated into two adjacent buildings on the north-east corner. Furthermore, a drama studio is built between the meeting room 1 and the cinema, and a central exhibition area is constructed in the middle of the centre. The wasteland is redeveloped into an outdoor exhibition and performance area, surrounded by trees. Finally, the information desk has remained unchanged throughout this period.
