The maps below illustrate Islip town’s centre, and plans for its construction.

Overall, planned town centre has expanded the road, and different areas are planned to be added; for example, Bus station , Shopping centre, Car park ,and Pedestrian.

In the current map, there was only one main road, but in new designed map they have added dual carriageway. Thus, the new road nearly surrounds all the centre. Moreover, instead of main road they intended to build a pedestrian. They have removed the shops on the north of centre and slightly expanded the Shops. Conversely, they decrease the park’s area.

In the east of the town’s centre, they designed new housing which was in south of the centre. In addition, they planned to construct a bus station in west, beside it a shopping centre and a car park which are not in the current map. School will be affected by the road in intended development.
