The following are two maps that show the signigicant plans that have occured in centre of Islip town and planned development.
Overall, the town has become more urbanized with improved transposrt and entertaiment facilities.
The area of countryside has been demolished to make way for new dual carriageway in the plan. On the south side of the town, the construction of new housings has been estabilished in the northeast of the town and next to the park. Moreover, the shops located in the west of the town has been demolished and its west and east sides has been added bus station and car park.
The main road are pedestrainized since now, and school has been enlarged in size, while the park has been narrowed in size. Lastly, the buildings surrounded by the dual carriageway has been converted into more contemporary facilities such as new housings, shops, and parking.
