The maps below illustrate the layout changes of a library from 1975 to the present
Overall, the library has undergone significant transformations, including modern facilities, a refreshment area, expanded reading spaces, and enhanced accessibility
At the front of the library, a new books section to the left of the entrance that existed in 1975 has been replaced by wheelchair access to improve accessibility. On the right side of the entrance, the computers area has been displaced.
In the central area, the large bookshelves that once occupied that space have been replaced by a café with sofas and a new books section behind them. In the east of the library, a study area with a round table has been added, providing flexible seating for collaborative and individual use.
At the back of the library, all areas have remained unchanged. In the right-hand corner, the bookshelves are still in place. The children’s book section in the left-hand corner has been preserved, as has the centrally positioned toilet between the bookshelves and the children’s section.
