The pictures illustrate the way in which the layout of the library changed for renovation purposes.

Looking at the illustration, it is immediately evident that some old features were still there, whereas others, such as books and magazines, bookshelves in the center of the west side, and New books next to the entrance, had all been relocated.

Additionally, over a period of five decades, the place had undergone a number of dramatic changes in terms of facilities, with the introduction of new features such as shared areas, computers, wheelchair access, and coffee.

In 1975, the library’s layout was primarily designed to accommodate books and bookshelves, resulting in limited amenities. The entrance was centrally located on the northern side and was accessible only by stairs. To the right of the entrance, there were two sections dedicated to new publications, labeled New Books. Directly ahead, on the eastern side of the room, was the library desk, and behind it, in the southeast corner, was a designated children’s area with a section labeled Children’s Books .On the left side of the library, there was a large area for books and magazines. Adjacent to the entrance on the top left was another section labeled Books and Magazines. In the center of the western side, a set of bookshelves occupied the space, while a second set of bookshelves was positioned toward the bottom left. The toilet was located between the bookshelves and the children’s book section.

In the present day, the design of the library has undergone dramatic changes. While some old features have been retained, others have been removed or replaced. The entrance remains in the same location but now includes a wheelchair ramp for improved accessibility. On the left side, the area previously designated for books and magazines has been transformed into a computer section. The shared area, now featuring additional seating, has been relocated to the eastern center of the library. To the west of this shared space, the bookshelves have been replaced with a café featuring sofas for a more relaxed environment. Lastly, in the southern section, the bookshelves and toilet remain unchanged.
