The illustrations depict how a library has changed from 1975 to the current.
Overall, the layouts have seen three pivotal changes, which involved the emergence of various electrical gadgets and a place for individuals with special needs, as well as the expansion of customer amenities.
Regarding the unchanged categories, a staircase was located in the upper middle of the floor, which connected to an entrance in the 1975 layout; both remain intact after several years of change. Furthermore, a location for new books was available in the upper right corner of the map in 1975, which then is continuously accessible until now, whereas a library desk in the middle right remained stable. Additionally, there was a children’s bookshelf, toilet and bookshelves in order from right to left on the lower side, which are still in service to the present.
Concerning the remaining places, a book and magazine section in the top left has been replaced by a computer area. Moreover, wheeling access is constructed between the entrance and the new books shelf where the other new books shelf used to be. In addition, a new cafe with seats is erected in the middle left, which necessitates the removal of several bookshelves, while numerous shared spaces, including chairs and tables, are added in the heart of the library.
