The given maps illustrate the changes made to the ground floor of an art gallery between 2005 and the present day.
As can be seen from the maps, while the core exhibition rooms of this art gallery were well-preserved, other parts experienced striking transformations to facilitate visitors’ experience.
Regarding the sections that remained largely intact, the three exhibition rooms retained their locations, with room 1 in the southeast, room 2 in the east, and room 3 in the northeast. Moreover, the receptionist area was slightly relocated to the center of the entrance hall for better approachability. The staircase in the north remained in the same location, while new amenities were added around it.
As for the new developments, the cafe in the northwestern corner was demolished, and the gallery office which used to be adjacent to the cafe replaced it. Additionally, there is also a new vending machine in front of the gallery office to purchase items more conveniently. The exhibition room 4 in the bottom left corner was also knocked down and is now divided into two parts, one for children and one for a temporary exhibition. Finally, to improve visitor mobility, new features such as a ramp and lift have been introduced. The former is installed near the main entrance, while the latter is located between the stairs and exhibition room 3.
