The diagram depicts the layout of a ground floor of a library in 2001 and 2009.
In general,it can be observed that the library has undergone significant changes with introduction of new sections over the period.
First on the southern part of the library in 2001, is the entrance leading to the ground floor of the library with the stairs on the right. A librarian’s desk can be seen just infront of the entrance. At the middle are eight vertically arranged small tables next to them are newspapers and periodicals. On the left of the tables are shelves with two sections of books which are self help and history.
In 2009 on the other side had significant changes with the enterance, librarian’s desk and the stairs remaining at the same position. New computers were set a step infront of the stairs.At the centre were four large tables replacing the smaller ones in 2001.News and periodicals which used to be at the right side of the small tables have been taken away and been replaced with films and DVDs.At the left side were introduction of new features which are;kitchen,economics and law. Fiction has been replaced with children’s books at the top part and added to the ones on the left. An area has also been created next from the large tables for the children
