The pictures show how Melvin island altered from 2000 to until 2010.
In general, it is notable that the island has become much more modern and touristy place, being accessible through different transport types such as water and air travel.
Moving to a more detailed analysis, the motel in the northern west was replaced by a hotel whereas a garage was demolished to make way for chalets. Other striking change was the conversion of a tearoom into a seafood restaurant that was located below the farmland- the point that stayed intact in the layout.
There used to be woodland areas in the map, yet by 2010 new facilities were introduced in their places. Precisely, a golf course was erected in the city centre while an airport was built for the sake of using a half of the woodland in the east.
Further changes involves the transformation of a farmland into a swimming pool and spa, and also the appearance of marina port. Lastly, the village situated near the sea remained unchanged over a decade.
