The two maps provided illustrate the transformation of the university library since 2005. Overall, the library has undergone significant changes, becoming more modernized, user-friendly, and digitalized with the introduction of state-of-the-art facilities.
Upon closer examination, in 2005, the library had long bookshelves on its top and left sides, while most of its bottom was also bookshelves, next to which was an entrance to the library. As for its right side and bottom right corner were occupied by desks with computers and a library office. The central part of the library was designated for studying, containing some study tables and a book borrowing and return area.
Since then, the area has improved significantly. The left side of the library, with bookshelves, has been converted into an automated book borrowing zone. In the central area of the library, study desks have been installed for private study, which have occupied the lion’s share. The bookshelves on the top of the library remained unchanged. The remaining bookshelves on the right and bottom of the library have been converted into an area with desks for student laptops. In addition, the library office in the corner has been knocked down, turning it into a part of the study desks for students.
