The given pictures illustrate the way in which the layout of the art gallery in Australia has changed since 1950 for renovation purposes.
Looking at the illustration, it is immediately evident that some old features have still been there, whereas others, such as the courtyard, have all gone. Additionally, the place has undergone a number of dramatic changes in terms of facilities with the introduction of new features such as a children’s art school, Australian Aboriginal art, Asian art, and toilets.
Currently, the entrance and the sculpture zone have been kept intact, and so have the bookshop on the left-hand corner of the entrance and the adjoining area for a temporary exhibition section. However, a restroom zone has been erected near the top corner.
At the present day, changes have been made to other features, the most noticeable of which is the courtyard, which runs along the wall opposite the entry and has been divided into three zones and replaced with children’s art school, Australia Aboriginal Art, and Australian Art. To the right-hand corner of the entrance, there is the Australian art area, which was once a zone dedicated to Australian art.
