The two maps illustrate the development of an art gallery in Australia, comparing its layout from 1950 to the present.
In general, noticeable changes have been made to arrangement of this venue over the period shown. Notably, the main modifications involved the addition of new facilities and the expansion of the art gallery.
Analyzing the two maps in greater detail, in 1950, the art gallery was situated within the rectangular area with the entrance on the north side. At present, the courtyard on the south side has demolished to make way for new children art school, Australian Aboriginal Art, and Australian Art. In the proposed plan, the temporary exhibition and bookshop on the west side remained unchanged, while the café on the west side has reduced in size, providing room for a new toilet on the right side.
Turning to the other facilities, the sculpture in the middle, and the entrance on the south side still remained in the same place. Moving to the east, the early European Art and Middle European Art remained unchanged. Finally, the Australia Art has removed in order to new an Asian Art.
