The diagrams illustrate how Portview, a seaside town, developed from 1990 to 2010.
Overall, Portview had undergone significant changes comparing to previous infrastructures more complex and developed ones.
In 1990, the town of Portview was simple and divided into two spaces by Elvin Street. On the eastern side, Waterfront Street had four shops located on the same side of the road. Moreover, the opposite the shops was a small café and by the seaside was a pier. On the western side, there were a small resort, a shopping mall, and a large swimming pool while other rest areas were covered by enormous farmland and a golf course.
In 2010, the eastern side of Portview, a car park was built over empty space while additional shops were built on both sides of Waterfront Street. Furthermore, a southside pier was constructed while the café was renovated to increase its size. On the western side, the most noticeable change was farmland, where was replaced by a park area featuring trees, small waterholes, and a footpath connecting the walking path from Elvin Street to three swimming pools. In addition, the resort and the shopping mall were upgraded to a five-star hotel and a shopping complex, respectively. The golf course, though it remained but it was expanded.
