Overall, it is evident that the road didn’t change at all from 1980 to 2007, except for the area near the sea. There was the change about marine in the North of Pentland and some houses appeared nearby that place. Also, the Southeastern and Northwestern areas changed substantially. In addition, there were the other differences
In 1980,Pentland looked simple and poor. The sea was in the North and there were no ports. In the Southeast, there was only the grassland. And on the Eastern road in front of it, there was a car park. The Western area was for an industrial area.
In 2007, Pentland improved better and more prevalent. There were more places to go to. First of all is the evolution of the coastal area. The sea was built the yacht marina for ships and yachts and a road . Along the port is some houses and an apartment nearby. Many shops appeared along the Eastern road instead of the car park before. Meanwhile, the car park was upgraded to the multi-storey car park and moved to the Northwestern area. The industrial area in the Northwestern was cancelled and replaced by the multi-storey car park mentioned above. Next to it is the swimming pool, nearby is the park. There was nothing in the Southwestern in 1980, but until 2007, people built a cinema there. In the Southeast, the the grassland was rejected and replaced by a residential area.
