The two maps illustrate the changes that took place in Liverton Docks between 1980 and at the present day. Overall, a comparison of the two layouts reveals that the Liveton docks became less industial and more living and residential area, including: education centre, sailing club, hotel, apartments. However, the river has remained unchanged with nearly same purpose.
In 1980, Liverton was a specialized place for commercial purposes and warehouse facilities. In the north side of the Liverton, two warehouses and cranes located alternately. Additionally, a river located in the middle of the two industrial areas with some ships. In the south of the liverton, crane and warehouse situated in 1980.
At the moment, Liverton Docks has transformed into a residential area. In the north-west side of the Liverton, warehouse was replaced by education centre, following that the crane was demolished in order to build sailing club. In the north-east of the side, kid’s playground was constructed for the children in the residential area. Also, ships in the river was converted into a ship museum which demonstrates the things related to commerce. Furthermore, the bridge was built across the river. Also, river walk was built along the river in the south side of the Liverton. In the south-west of the side, the crane was changed into hotel, and far from there, the apartmentment was newly built. In the south-east of the side, the new parking area was established near the way to the coast.
