The two maps illustrate the differences between the suburbs of the town of Fosbury over the 35-year period.
In general, there were a lot of improvements and developments made to Fosbury’s suburb, including the construction of new homes, parking lots, a new road system, and the conversion of an old sports facility.
To begin with, one of the most noticeable alterations after 35 years was the new route network, which is a circular route system in the middle of the map and easier to access for all infrastructure. Another major change was the relocation of terraced houses to the park area, and the park was replaced on the east side of the previous location. Whereas, the row of houses and hotel at the top of the town remained the same. There had been a removal of blocks of flats that were parts of the new route building.
Furthermore, the grocer’s shop was replaced with the huge supermarket. Another change to the area was the construction of warehouses at the bottom-right of the map, replacing the fields. In the southwest of the outskirts, the old tennis courts were converted into a sports center and a car park.
