The maps depict the alternation of the outskirts of Fosbury between 1980 and 2015. Overall, there were notable changes in the buildings and facilities in the neighbourhood.
The most striking improvement is that a number of warehouses were erected after the removal of the field. Thanks to advancements in industry, transportation infrastructure was reconstructed with a new roundabout, which divided the area into four clear sections. In terms of accommodations, the empty land near the residential area in 1980 was used for a larger park, while the old park was made into room for terraced houses. While many changes occurred, the hotel area remained untouched.
For commercial parts, the grocer’s shop was converted into a supermarket, which was closer to the new car park than to the terraced houses in 1980, and blocks of flats were demolished. In 2015, amenities were upgraded to be more spacious and convenient. Sports centers were put up instead of the tennis courts that were there over 30 years ago, along with a car park for residents and players.
