Overall, the consequence of the years spent on the section’s development gradually increases it’s prosperity.
In 1990, George Town was an underdeveloped area, owning a restricted number of facilities and structures. Most of the regions remained unexploited causes road vehicles to be the main transportation method of the citizens. The western side of the neighborhood was a commercial zone with a bus station and a local market, with city centre on the eastern side of the trading district. On the northern part, city hall and a park was located as a community sector. Across the community’s only road, was the Town’s major port.
By 2010, city town hall and the port were the only infrastructures that were left untouched. The city centre underwent a moderate renovation, with the introduction of a bike rental service. In addition, a railway was constructed to link City Hall with the city centre, with a new bus station located in between. The residential settlement: apartment complex and houses were constructed diagonally on the northwestern and southeastern part respectively. Supermarket was erected on the trading district of the past, new shopping centre also replaced the park. The road was redesigned for pedestrians, even on it’s opposite area, fresh entertainment divisions were operated.
