Dear Mr and Mrs,

Thank you for inviting me to chris surprise birthday party. Here I am writing this letter regarding why am I won’t be able to attend this special occation.

To begin with, I know Chris since grade third and we used to go to school togather till grade twelve. I rememberd, she likes surprises especially from close loved ones. Me and our common friends planed secret dinner for her many times and she always loved secret dinner plans and I am sure she going to love this party.

However, I have important meetings during that week and I will be out of town for two weeks. I really wanted to be a part of this celebration but I have some professional commitments as well.

Apparently, I will be back in the town after two weeks and specially on weekends I will give her surprise with other friends. Please, wish her in behalf of me and do not tell that I will visit her after couple of weeks.
