The graph illustrates the average of female numbers of parliament in European notion from 2000 until 2012.
Overall, it is clear that all countries experience an upward trend, except Belgium. Moreover, the female in Italy had the largest rates in the last period.
Looking first at 2000, we see that Germany, Italy, and France had percentage female of parliament around 34%, 26%, and 25% respectively. Next, the Belgium was stood at approximately 17%. This was followed by The UK, which accouted for just above 5%, becoming the most small number female of parliament.
During the next twelve years, it is noticeable that, in the Italy, the number of female of parliament increased notably to roughly 39% in 2012. Likewise, German and france witnessed a sharp rise reaching to around 37% for Germany and 33% for France in the last period. Belgium rose to around 24% in 2008 before slightly declining to just 23% in 2012. The UK had its number just below 20% in 2008 and remain increasing to approximately 23% in 2012, which had the same figures with Belgium.
