The pie chart illustrates the amount of consumption of water in different areas, whereas the bar chart compares the purposes of residential water usage in Australia in the year 2004.
Overall, it can be seen that a significant number of utilizations were for residential purposes, while other categories were relatively similar. Remarkably, the consumption of water for the bathroom and garden dominated the list in terms of residential usage.
Regarding details, water usage for residential areas formed 70% of the chart, followed by industrial and business purposes, at 11% and 10%, respectively. The category of governmental water usage reached 6%, which was twice as high as that of “other” purposes in the given year.
As for the bar graph, the proportion of water utilization in the bathroom and in the garden led the graph with approximately 28% and 27%, respectively, whereas the H2O used for kitchen activities was only 10%. Moreover, this figure for washing clothes was twice as high as that for the kitchen. Additionally, the measure for toilet purposes was only 5% lower than those washing clothes.
