Overall,spending habits of UK residents have not changed much as there is no drastic change in numbers.same goes with New Zealand.
UK citizens used to prioritize leisure and utility more than any other sectors as they accounted for highest percentage,27% and 26%, respectively for the year 1980.Moreover, energy sources such as food and drink were responsible for a significant 23% , however, transport and other contibuted 15% and 9% respectively.There was a rise in percentage for leisure and utiliby bills in the year 2008 as they surged to 34% and 28% respectively, and remained to be the dominating aspect in terms of capital spendings. Interestingly, the numbers for food and drinks dropped to 13% which was smaller then 14% for transport.
The numbers for the year 2008 on how much residents of New Zealand spent on eating and drink and utility combined to 56%, while the numbers were below 20% for remaining categories. This trend continued to year 2008,as consumables and utility remained to dominate the chart with 31% and 25% respectively.
