The pie chart illustrates the division of household expenditure in 1980 and 2008 of two countries, the United Kingdom and New Zealand. Overall, the most amount of money spent in the UK remained the same throughout the years while it changes in New Zealand.
In 1980, miscellaneous items expenditure was the same for both countries, which was 9%. On the other hand, there was only a small difference of around 1-3% in the amount spent on transport fees and utility bills between the two countries. In the UK, the most amount of money was designated to leisure with 27%, compared to New Zealand with 29% spent on food & drink.
By the year 2008, leisure still remained the highest percentage that was spent in the UK. Although, the was a 7% increase throughout the 18 years. The funds going towards other expenditures remained the same for both countries but had a slight increase of about 2%. And utility bills became the highest thing spent on New Zealand with a slight rise of about 4%.
