The charts illustrates household spending patterns in UK and New Zealand between 1980 and 2008
Overall, the highest household pattern was food and drinks in both of the countries. The lowest pattern was other things.
Initially, in 1980 the highest percentage of spent household patterns in UK was 27 percentage of leisure. However, in New Zealand it was food and drinks with 29 percentage. The rest of the household patterns were almost the same in both of the countries.
Turning to 2008 there wasn’t a big change in percentage of patterns. For example: in UK the percentage of leisure has slightly go up to 34 percentage. In addition, in New Zealand when firstly the highest percentage of patterns were food and drinks in 2008 it changed to utility bills with 31 percentage. Taking about the rest of the household patterns still was the same and grew just for 1 or 2 percentage.
