In 2003, the most popular retail sector was travelling, which accounted for 36% of total online sales in New Zealand. Meanwhile, films/music and clothes retail sectors had 24% and 21%, respectively. However, books had the lowest sales among all retail sectors, which accounted for only 19%.
After one decade in 2013, travelling retail sector experinced a slight decrease to 29% of total sales. Similarly, clothes online sales decline to approximately 16%, which show that clothes became less important in New Zealand. Conversely, films and mucis retail sectors expeinced an increase to around 33% and became most popular retail sector among all other. Likewise, books sales rose slightly to 22%.
