Overall the proportion of students selecting suitable degree quality of teaching and being close to parental home followed upward trends. While suitable degree courses remained the most popular factor by 2007.close to parental home experienced the most rapid growth over the period Conversely, the figures for quality of resources and good sports and social activities declined and the latter was the least consimon one in 2007.
Focusing on the increases first, the percentage of students preferred suitable degree stood at 361% 1987, before rising to 37% 2007. This was followed by the applicants wanting to be close to parental home, which saw the most significant growth, jumping from 10% to 22%. Meanwhile, the proportion of students who applied for quality of teaching rose slightly from 1 to 18 during the same period.
In contrast, the most substantial dedine was observed in the field good sport and social activities, where the figure dropped from 19% to 6 and became the least prevalent reason for students. Finally, the shares of students based on quality of resources exhibited a marginal decrease of 45%, falling from 21 to 17% respectively
