Overall, English was spoken by nearly half of the student population as their first language. The second most spoken language was Hindi, while Urdu was spoken by the least proportion of students as their native tongue among the five languages in the year 2007. The remaining two languages, Chinese and French, were spoken by an almost similar proportion of students.

With regard to English, it was the mother tongue of the majority students, as it was spoken by 45% of the pupils. At the second place, Hindi was spoken by 30% of the students as their first language. Furthermore, 3% more students spoke French than those who spoke Chinese. The latter was the first language of 10% pupils, while the latter was spoken by 13% students
