Overall, action and shooter games dominated the market, accounting for the half of 2014 sales of video games, whereas casual and other games were the lowest in sales during this year.
Action and shooter genre were the most popular video games. Action title reached around 28% . Meanwhile shooter genre were slightly less than the action, accounting for 22% of the sales. Sports and RPG games were approxmately half of the sales of shooter title. Both generes had moderate proportations, reaching up to 11% and 10% of the sales.
Advanture and fighting games contriputed equally, each represented about 6%. The remaining categories were the lowest in sales acing (5%), strategy (4%), family entertatianment (3%) casual (1%) and other games (2%) made the least figures during the given period.
