This data, combined from a bar chart and two pie charts, illustrates the number of male and female individuals arrested for illegal actions in the period of five years ending in 1984. It is evident that public drinking was the most common reason for arrest for both, with women leading with just more than 35% of the arrests.
Overall, the percentage of male convicts arrested is much higher than female convicts, with the former having a striking 32% compared to latter having only 9%.
Male population boasted the majority of the arrests, with drink driving, theft, breach of the order and other reasons accounting for a larger amount compared to females. Drink driving had the most notable gap between the two with more than 10% difference.
However, women possess a larger percentage in public drinking, assault and undisclosed crimes, with the highest being the public drinking passing the male counterparts with approximately 5%.
