The pie charts and table compare the percentages of imported seafood in three different cities in the United Kingdom over three decades: 1987, 1997, and 2007.
Looking from an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that the import of seafood has increased dramatically in Sweden and Germany, while the percentage of imported seafood in Poland has decreased.
Looking at the table in more detail, the value of imported seafood in 1987 was 7.40 million dollars. It increased by 9.10 million after 10 years. Moreover, in 2007, the value of imported seafood reached a peak of 12.30 million dollars.
With regards to the seafood from Poland, which gained popularity with more than half of the market share in 1987, it has shown a steady decline of 30% throughout the rest of the period. On the contrary, although Germany was the smallest segment at the beginning, accounting for 7%, it underwent significant changes after 10 years. It went from almost 7% in 1997 to 27% by the end, with minimal changes.
However, the percentages in Sweden experienced an upward trend, at 28%. In the years 1997 and 2007, the percentages were 40% and 43% respectively.
