The provided pie graph illustrates the comparation between the proportion of energy capacity in gigawatts in 2015 with the expactations for 2040.In general, most of the energy created by fossil fuels back in 2015. Other renewables follows it by almost one-forth of the whole capacity. Nuclear and wind power represented a small percentage of the whole capacity, and solar powers had the least usage. However, the predictions for 2040, there is an expactation for solar powers and wind power to increase.
In 2015, Fossil fuels were the main source for energy capacity by 64%, almost one-third of the whole capacity. However, by 2040 the predictions says that this percentage will decrease to 44%, which is less than the half of the whole capacity. In 2015, other renewables the seconds largest source by 23%, almost the quarter of the whole capacity. The predictions for 2040 are saying it will just decrease for a small percentage which is only %2.
Back in 2015, solar energy percentages were really low compared to others. However, the expectations belive that it will increase by 16%, and become 18% of the whole capacity.
