The pie charts illustrate the proportion of many kinds of food that two groups of students consume and the table shows the general health status of them. Overall, group A had a more moderate diet than group B, which means that they were healthier.
Looking at the details, with regard to group A, the most food consumption was cereals, which accounted for over a third of the diet. Food with a high fat content standing at 30% was just under the cereals group. Turning to vegetables, the students of that group consumed 22%, which was much higher than another group. Additionally, the figure for fruit and fish made up a mere 5% and 8% in the diet that students ate correspondingly. With respect to general health, because of suitable nutritions, the percentage of overweight and illness was just 10% and 5% respectively. Moreover, most of the students of group A presented in the classroom, and the number representing it was 90%.
Regarding the second group, half of the food that students consume was food with a high fat content. Similar to group A, the percentage of cereals constituted 35% and the figure for fish was 5%. In addition, the consumption of fruit and vegetables was only 5% of each nutrient group, which was minor than that of group A. Therefore, the proportion of group B’s overweight almost doubled group A with 20%. Besides, 12% of that group were ill in the past year, leading to the percentage of attendance at classes was 75%.
As shown in the above, nutrition has close correlation to the student’s health, specifically, a suitable diet helps them become healthier.
