The pie chart compares the percentage of journal articles read each week by three groups at an Australian University: all students, PhD students, and junior lecturers.
In it shows that the number of articles tend to increase with academic level. PhD students and tutor lecturers read significantly more articles weekly compared to the general student population.
In the average, the percentage of all students read less than 5 articles per week about 68%. On the other hand, for studying 15 articles per week PhD students and junior lecturers read 5% and 21% respectively. 5%, and 15% are read less than 11 articles per week by all students and PhD students. By contrast, reading journals however, only 75% with less than 5 articles per week.
PhD students have the highest percentage of readers in the over 12 article, with 80%, reading more than 12 articles. Only 18% and 24% tend over 12 articles per week for all students and junior lecturers one the other.
