In 1958, the spending time by working was the highest at 33%, whereas the figure for sleeping was the second biggest activity at 32%. The spending time by going out with friends stood at, while the figure for relaxing at home and travelling to work accounted for 8% and 2% respectively. The adults spent about 5% of their time by playing sports.
By 2008, the percentage of day spent by working increased considerably to 42% as well as it was the highest activity. The figure for sleeping declined moderately to 25%, while there was a slight increase to 13% in the proportion of day spent by relaxing at home. The figure for playing sports and travelling to work increased moderately to 7%, whereas the percentage of the day spent by going out with friends or family represented small percentage of the pie chart total survey, with 6%.
