Overall, housing was the most significant expenditure in the first year. Food increased its dominance, whilst all other items also showed a slight difference in the second year.
The highest level of the expenditure in 1950 was housing, reaching 72.1%. Among other groups, food products ranked second with 11.2% in the first year. However, this figure dramatically increased to 34% and replaced housing as the first-highest expenditure in 2010. With regard to education, there was a minor decrease of 6.6% to 6.3% in 2010.
The remaining three categories had around less than 5% of the total in 1950 each, but all rose by around more than 10%. Excluding healthcare, there was a slight increase of about 2%. Healthcare was the least spending category in 2010, reaching only 4.5%.
