Overall, the most significant amount of money in both countries was allocated for housing, food consumption, and other goods and services purposes. While Japan spent much on transportion, Malaysia invested a little in this aspect.
According to the chart, the expenses for other goods and services and food were similar in both countries, with 3% differences. Housing was the major expenditure in Malaysia, taking 34% of the chart, while Japan spent slightly less than a quarter (21%). Whereas the most expenditure in Malaysia was on goods and services, taking 29% of the chart.
On the other hand, Japan invested a quarter (20%) in transportation, whereas only half of it (10%) was spent by Malaysia. Both countries spent the least on healthcare, with Japan spending slightly more than that of Malaysia, 6% and 3% respectively, thus accounting for only less than 10% combined.
