The pie charts below illustrate how the number of television viewers aged 18 to 25 in a European country in 2007 and 2017 varied across six distinct categories.
Overall, conventional TV was the most used at the beginning of the period, but it was overtaken by flat-screen TV 10 years later. While modern devices witnessed an upward trend, traditional TV, laptops, and desktop computers showed the opposite trend.
Regarding the categories with a growing trend, flat-screen ranked first in 2017 with 27% after increasing from under a tenth, followed by mobile phones which showed a growth from a slight 15% in 2007 to over a quarter after 10 years. In addition, tablets stayed at the bottom position of the group throughout the period, witnessing nearly a fourfold increase from 5% in 2007.
Turning to the decreasing sections, however, primary TV experienced a sharp drop from first place at 34% in 2007 to a minor percentage eventually. Along with that, desktop computers and laptops took large portions in 2007 at 18% and one-fifth of the pie, respectively, then both of them plummeted to 12% by 2017.
