In 1984 the dominant course type was face-to-face, with 67% of people choosing this type of learning. Correspondence courses were the second choice at 20%, and mixed media courses with 13% of students. Online courses were not available in this year
In 1994, the popularity of face-to-face courses declined but remained popular with 54% of pupils, whereas correspondence courses maintained at 20%. Mixed media courses show a slight increase to 15%. In this year, online courses made their debut at 11%. Moving to 2004, face-to-face courses experienced a decline to 40%, while mixed media courses saw a significant increase to 35%. Correspondence courses showed a downward trend to 15%. Online courses also decreased to 10%.
To sum up, face-to-face courses were the most popular type of study. Mixed media courses were increasing in all years, while correspondence courses remained relatively stable initially but eventually diminishing.
