Overall, Mexico traded most with the USA, while in Chile, other Latin American countries accounted for the highest percentage. Also, it was reported that the unnamed regions were Argentina’s largest export market.
Regarding Mexico’s trade destinations, the USA came out top with a very sizable majority, accounting for 87% of total, which was five times the sum of the remaining countries. This was followed by a small fraction of Europe and the unnamed nations, constituting 6% and 5% respectively. Furthermore, just 2% of the total exports went to other Latin American countries.
Concerning traded places of Argentina and Chile, in Argentina, other regions comprised nearly a half of total, approximately 41%, while other Latin American countries ranked second at 30%, compared with 18% of Europe and 10% of the USA . In terms of Chile’s export destinations, other Latin American countries came first with 36% whereas the USA came last with 19%. Finally, both Europe and other regions witnessed less than a quarter, at 24% and 21% respectively.
