Overall, Internet was the most common method used by Australian students, whereas the most popular trend in the USA and Canada was pre-booking with agent.
In Australia, the percentage of Internet booking has increased from 24% to 39%, while pre-booked with agent significantly reduced the proportion by 16% from 27%. Booking in arrival and other methods were consistent in general. Meanwhile, the USA’s change in percentages were more stable. Internet and others slightly fell from 26% to 25% and 23%, respectively, with a rise by 4% in pre-booking method and unchanged figure in arrival.
On the other hand, Canada’s trend of booking online English course was completely different from the two others. Arrival dominated ways of booking in 2009, but then plummeted to 26% next year, and internet reserving method marginally declined from 27% to 25% in the same period. Meanwhile, pre-booked with agent witnessed a surge by 13% and became the most popular way in 2010, with 35%. Meanwhile, other methods tripled in percentage to 18% in the same year.
