These pie charts compare which methods were used by abroad students to enroll in English courses in three nations between 2009 and 2010.
In general, such nations witnessed various transformations during this period. Furthermore, the figure for four methods in the USA accounted for a balanced number, while that of Internet and pre-booked with agent made up a significant figure in Australia and Canada in 2010, respectively.
In 2009, almost one fifth of courses in the USA were booked in person, that was the same as pre-booked with argent. Meanwhile the figure for arrival remained unchanged, that of the other witnessed a 4% increase in the next years. Similarly, the rate of lessons ordered via the internet and “other” took up the same number (26%), both groups fluctuated slightly to 25% and 23%, respectively.
On the other hand, Canada and Australia experienced sharp changes. In Australia, the figure for pre-booked with agent and “other”, which made up 23% and 27%, respectively, decreased to 20% and only 11% in 2010. By contrast, the proportion of lessons ordered in person went up to 30%, which is 4% higher than in 2009, that of the Internet topped at nearly two fifths in 2010. Regarding Canada, the figure for arrival made up a highest number in 2009 at 45%, while that of pre-booked with agent became the most popular method in 2010 (35%). Meanwhile the figure for the Internet declined slightly to 25%, that of “other” rose significantly to 18% in the last year.
