However, comedy was the lowest contributor this year.
By 2008, the chart showed slight changes in the total percentage of Oscar winners in comparison to the year 2003. There was a decrease in thrillers in comparison with 2003 of about 10%. From 2003 to 2008, the percentage of action films increased by about 10%, making it the second largest percentage in the pie chart. In addition, there was a similarity between science fiction and documentary at 30%. Furthermore, some contributors were still in a low percentage, such as romance and horror. From 2003 to 2008, comedy remained the smallest percentage, which didn’t differ from the original year 2003.
