Overall, it can be seen that olive oil was the most popular cooking oil in 2005 and 2020. Although coconut oil had the lowest percentage in 2005, it increase significantly and became at 3rd rank from the lowest in 2020.
In terms of the proportion used of cooking oil in 2005, olive oil was in demand and outnumbered the other cooking oils at 35% and 30% in 2020 and 2005, respectively. Canola oil followed by olive oild with the highest level of cooking oil used by residents in the United States at 25%. While coconut oil had the lowest percentage at 5%.
Regarding the range of utilized cooking oils in 2020, cooking oil remained to be popular at the scale of 30% despite the 5% decrease of the proportion from 2005. Additionally, soybean and peanut oils tied at the lowest level of oil used at 5% in the United States.
