Task 1
The given four pie charts illustrate comparison between Australia and France how many units of electricity were produced from fuel sources in 1980 and 2000.
Overall, France dramatically changed the main source of electricity to nuclear power, when Australia almost completely switched to coal.
Regarding the data from 1980-year pie charts, Australia had more units than the France in that year. The half of the electricity in Australia manufactured a coal with 50 units, which was 2 times more than result of France in coal. Moreover, in Australia natural gas and hydro power had same results respectively 20 units of electricity, when in France the coal and natural gas simultaneously manufactured 25 units of electricity. The interesting fact that, while nuclear power generated one-sixth of the electricity, in Australia this type of source was not used at all.
According to the 2000-year, the total production was significantly increased. Furthermore, France had a higher electricity output by rising 2 times more than 20 years ago, when Australia slightly went up to 170 units. Also, Australia increased production with coal and hydro power, but also excluding nuclear power from the list of sources of fuel. Additionally, France produced 126 units of electricity from nuclear power which is lower than top fuel in Australia. So, natural gas in 2000 year had the same result 2 units.
