The pie graphic display amount of electricity generation and which main sources used for production in two different countries in 1980 and 2000.
From an overall perspective, it can be seen that, coal accounted for the majority of Austrlia’s electricity production amount whereas nuclear power represented the highest amount in 2000 in France. Furthermore, the coal and natural gas had same proportion in 1980.
In detail, coal made up the half of the total production amount in Australia in 1980 when hydro power and natural gas contribution was 20 unit. The oil was used 10 unit for electricity generation by 1980. In 2000, total amount was 170 unit in Australia and the coal occured by far the biggest amount which is 130 unit, followed by hydro power with 36 unit. All remaining fuels were shared a small portion. Nuclear power did not used for electricity in this year.
In terms of France, coal and natural gas contribution was the same which is 25 unit in 1980 when oil and nuclear power amounts for electric production was 20 and 15 unit, respectively. Hydro power was just 5 unit. By 2000, nuclear power made up 126 unit of total electricity manufacturing amount. Coal and oil were the same amount which is 25 unit. Besides, hydro power and natural gas amount was just 2 unit in 2000.
