The pie charts illustrate the primary sources of news for teeenagers,young individuals and elderly people as a result of a survey in 2022.
Overall, it is clear that younger individuals tend to rely more on online news sites, whereas older people show a strong preferences for traditional media, particularly for telivison and printed newspapers.Young adults, by contrast, demonstrate a more balanced pattern across different sources.
Among teenagers, online news sites are by far the most popular source, accounting for 52% of usage. Television followed at 37%, making it the second most popular category. In comparison, printed newspapers and others are minimally used, just at 7% and 4% respectively.
A different pattern can be observed among young people, where television and online new sites are used at almost equal rates, respectively at 35% and 33%. Notably, other sources represent a considerable proportion at 26%, while printed newspapers remain the least preferred option at only 6%.
In contrast, older people predominantly rely on television, with 42% choosing this option. Printed newspapers and others also accounted for notable proportions at 29% and 23% respectively. Online news sites, however, recorded the lowest figure at only 6%, making it the least significant category.
