The pie charts illustrate the popularity of five social media channels from 2010 to 2013.
Overall, all social media platforms showed an upward trend, except Facebook. Google + experienced the most significant growth. Noticeably, though Facebook showed a downward trend, it was still the most favorable social media channel.
Overall, the number of people using Facebook was more than half at the first period. However, it then went down by 10% in 2012 and 2013. Notably, it was the only platform to experience a fall, it was still the most common social media channel, though. By contrast, there was only 5% of people using Pinterest in 2011, which was similar to Google+. In the next 2 years, it increased slightly from 1-2%. Notably, Pinterest was always the least favorite social media platform. Regarding Twitter, its user was more than a fifth in 2011, and it then increased by 2 % each year.
Linkedln and Google+ showed an upturn in 2012 and 2013. The number of people adopting Linkedln always doubled those using Google+, while Google+ had the highest growth as it climbed by 9% from 2011 to 2013.
