The charts illustrate the proportion of energy produced in a country between 1983 and 2003.
It is clear that the percentage of oil and coal decreased insignificantly, while the figures for the rest of energy produced had an opposite trend; and only the proportion of hydropower unchanged in both years.
In 1983, the proportion of oil was highest and accounted for 42% in the chart. The figures for coal and nuclear power was slightly lower, at 23% and 20% respectively. Meanwhile, energy produced by natural gas was just 11% of the total energy production in that country and the lowest figure can be seen in the percentage of hydropower, at 5%.
In 2003, the percentage of oil declined insignificantly but remained the highest figure in the chart, at 38%. The figure for nuclear power went up slightly to 24%, while that for coal experienced a dramatic fall of 10%. The proportion of spending on natural gas increased significantly form 11% to 21%, while it can be seen thhat the figure for hydropower still să a stability.
