The changes in student enrollments based on the delivery method in the year 1984, 1994 and 2004 are illustrated through pie charts above. It is shown that the trends of learning method are changing over time.
In 1984, 67% of the students enrolled in classes with face-to-face learning. This number followed by 20% enrollment in correspondence classes and 13% enrollment in mixed media courses.
However, the emergence of online learning method seemed to change the trend. In 1994, 11% of the students enrolled to online classes. This number impacted other classes, as classes with face-to-face method losses their students by 13% and mixed media courses gained 2% more. Ten years later, the enrollment for mixed media courses increased significantly to 35%, make it the second popular delivery method after face-to-face classes with only 5% difference.
In conclusion, we can see that while face-to-face classess had the most student enrollments number in all the years, the numbers were gradually decreased. This then followed by the raise of popularity in mixed-media courses.
