The three pie charts illustrate a comparison of user percentages across different age groups on the social media platforms Twitter, YouTube, and Facebook
Overall, it is evident that users aged between 18 and 34 constitute a significant, and often the largest, proportion of users across the three social media platforms, particularly on Twitter. Conversely, the 65 and over age group consistently represents the smallest segment
To begin with, on Twitter, individuals aged 18-34 are significantly dominant, accounting for 40 percent of its total user base. This proportion is considerably higher than for the same demographic on Facebook and YouTube. The next largest segment for Twitter is the 35-49 age bracket, at 29%,
Secondly, turning to Facebook, the largest proportion of its participants falls into the 35-49 age group, at 30 percent. The 18-34 age group on Facebook follows closely at 29%
Finally, on YouTube, the 35-49 age group is the largest, making up 29 percent of its users, followed by the 18-34 age group at 26 percent. YouTube also has the highest percentage of young users aged 10-17, with 15 percent , which is more than Facebook and Twitter. The 65 and over group remains the smallest on all platforms: 10 percent for YouTube, 8 percent for Facebook, and only 4 percent for Twitter.
